This is a full kit that includes the dry clutch cover TYPE-R, special / dry clutch inner kit TYPE-R and TAF 5 speed cross transmission kit.
[Dry Type Clutch Kit TYPE-R (Wire Type) Detail]
■Adopted R. Crankcase cover for both
The R.Crankcase cover is the same for both wet and dry type, so it can be changed to wet or dry type after purchase.
The clutch part has a separate chamber structure, and in the case of a wet clutch, the engine oil and the clutch oil can be separated.(Brand name, specification, etc.)
The cover for the dry clutch has a large ventilation hole to improve the cooling effect.
When changing from a wet clutch to a dry clutch, it is possible to use the clutch as a dry clutch with the minimum change of replacing the friction disc and draining the oil from the clutch.
The clutch cover can be used as it is, but by purchasing the clutch cover for dry type (02-02-0126) separately, the cooling effect can be improved and you can enjoy the unique sound of dry type.
When changing from a dry clutch to a wet clutch, it is necessary to purchase a clutch cover for dry type (02-01-0156).
■Forged aluminum clutch cover
Cover is forged aluminum with shot finish.The rack and pinion system is adopted for light and smooth operation.
■Large oil filler cap is adopted
The oil inlet is larger than the stock one, so that the oil can be filled easily.Cap is made of die-cast aluminum with chrome plating
For vehicles equipped with the oil catch tank kit (07-05-0026), the return hose can be connected by purchasing the breather cap (90 degree swivel) (07-06-0001).
■Oil Element: The cartridge type paper type with excellent filtration capacity is adopted.
■Oil through nut
With the installation of the cover, the stock centrifugal oil filter is replaced with the attached oil through nut, resulting in a significant weight reduction.
Stock centrifugal oil filter (approx. 1069g) → Oil through nut (approx. 123g)
This will reduce the load on the crankshaft and improve the engine response.
The filtered oil flows to the crankshaft because the oil line is connected to the crankshaft through the element.

Oil can be taken out from the cover directly to the oil cooler.SP Takegawa has oil cooler kit for special clutch cover.
■Patented structure (thermostat unit mounting part and oil line structure)
Thermostat unit (02-01-5052) can be installed on the cover to prevent overcooling when oil cooler is installed.
*When the thermostat unit is installed, the oil cooler kit must be installed at the same time.
■The oil line hose can be connected.
By installing the oil line hose (00-07-0095) (sold separately), the oil flowing to the head side can be made to go through the oil element.
[Special / Dry Clutch Inner Kit TYPE-R (6 Disc) Detail]
By reducing the diameter of the rotating parts such as the clutch outer, the loss of horsepower due to oil diffusion is reduced, the response is further improved, and the rotating mass weight is reduced, so the engine power can be transmitted without waste.
Six-disc design with five KV friction discs and one judder friction disc.This reduces judder when starting and at the same time increases the clutch capacity to accommodate high power engines.
In addition, the clutch unit can be used for both wet and dry type clutches, so that both specifications can be changed.(When changing from a wet clutch to a dry clutch, it will be necessary to replace the friction disc, but when changing from a dry clutch to a wet clutch, the friction disc can be used without modification.(*Only if there is no replacement of consumables.Clutch cover is required separately.)
■Two types of clutch structures are available with and without a slipper clutch
The slipper clutch reduces the shock of sudden engine braking when downshifting at high RPM.
This reduces sudden posture changes, rear tire hopping, and load on the engine.(See above for details of the slipper clutch)
■Primary driven gear with built-in damper:Built-in rubber damper to reduce shock to gears when clutch is engaged.
■Clutch Springs: Excellent fatigue resistance and stable clutch feel.
*Special / Dry Clutch Inner Kit TYPE-R requires the TAF 5-speed Cross Transmission Kit to be installed at the same time.It cannot be installed with the stock transmission.
[TAF5 Speed Cross Transmission (Special / Dry Clutch Inner Kit for TYPE-R only) Detail]
It is possible to accelerate smoothly while keeping the power band of the engine.
It can be used with SP Takegawa's big bore kit without changing the torque-full output characteristics.
By shortening the travel of each gear, the tooth width is secured and the durability is improved.

*Installation of the TAF 5-speed cross transmission will result in an error in the speedometer display.
Please use the speed sensor kit for stock meter to compensate.(The product varies depending on the caliper bracket used.)
*Special clutch inner kit for TYPE-R only.It cannot be installed with the stock clutch at the same time.

■If you want to change to the dry clutch kit TYPE-R, you will need to purchase the clutch cover kit (wire type / dry type) 02-02-0126 in addition to the above.
*Although it is possible to use the dry type clutch specification with the special clutch cover, it is recommended to purchase the clutch cover for dry type with high cooling effect.

Special Clutch Kit TYPE-R (or Dry Clutch Kit TYPE-R) can be installed by purchasing "TAF 5-Speed Cross Transmission Conversion Kit (02-04-0296) " which consists of necessary parts to adapt your transmission to the Special / Dry Clutch Inner Kit. Special Clutch Kit TYPE-R (or Dry Clutch Kit TYPE-R) can be installed.
