■ADVANTAGE FCC TRACTION CONTROL CLUTCH Kit■
There is an excellent development technology and a production technology.
Most of the production equipment is developed by Advantage, and Advantage have the technology to build production lines that achieve both quality and cost.
The technology also includes rigorous simulations to scale the functional characteristics of the clutch, assuming any operating environment.
The various tests performed under extreme conditions are also technical.
The technology of the F.C.C. is very extensive, but these technologies are only a small part of it.

●Advantage FCC Features
First of all, Advantage's approach to this product was to create a clutch with the performance (Advantage's ideal) that would be necessary without regard to the cost of the stock parts developed by each manufacturer to perfection, and to improve the traction effect by reducing the feeling of traction being transmitted to the rear tire and the feeling of suddenness. The main purpose of this project was to develop a clutch that can be used with today's high-performance motorcycles and that is also durable enough to prevent falls, which is the fate of motorcycles.

Special clutch disc material with peppery compound.
As a result, the connection is soft, and when you stand up under power and acceleration, it has an excellent performance that can be received firmly, and has the performance that can convey the road conditions to the rider linearly.
Its performance has been highly evaluated not only in road racing but also in off-road racing scenes such as motocross (even on sand) where grip and control performance such as response to the accelerator (sliding of the rear wheel) are required.

The durability performance is about 3-5 times longer than conventional products.

Kashima Coating is used for pressure plates and hubs that require high durability, while ACC (Advantage Cool Coating) is used for those that are more race-oriented and can lower the oil temperature.
This prevents galling and wear caused by stepping.
The friction of the housing and hub is smoother and helps to prevent judder.

Whenever we make a kit of a clutch, we always redesign it based on the actual bike and the numerical data on the drawings in an Advantage way, and review all the data to see if there is anything that can still be done, if the content (volume) is met, and if the friction and plate allowances are correct.
The latest kits have increased capacity without compromising durability, and Advantage have also developed the "Plus 1" kit to accommodate higher performance vehicles.
The number of friction plates is increased by one compared to the stock one, which greatly improves the durability.

●About the clutch spring of ADVANTAGE FCC
The springs are manufactured at KYB / SHOWA's factory specializing in suspension springs.
The important thing is the clutch spring, as the world of clutches seems to have too many out-of-the-box products until now.
This is partly due to the fact that springs themselves have high tolerance values when they are manufactured.
Advantage has developed a clutch spring using valve spring material (SWOSC-V) in a factory specializing in suspension springs, based on our long experience in suspension development.
The spring material SWOSC-V is used, and the inclination difference of the spring is less than 0.5 degrees, and the special shot peening processing is done, and the clutch of a stock motorcycle is reexamined and redesigned.
The spring rate is designed to be reduced by oil temperature.

●Regarding spring spring rate
Fundamentally overcame the situation where the clutch is just hard and heavy, which is often the case with reinforced clutches.
It eliminates the need to increase the spring rate so drastically in synergy with the friction and plate.
(In some models, clutch slippage is suppressed by the spring rate)
This model tends to be heavy, but it is lighter than the rival products.

●Clutch spring material
As mentioned above, SWOSC-V is used as the clutch spring material.
This is a valve spring material.
This material is used where the performance cannot be compromised in an environment that is far more severe than that of a clutch.
The most notable thing is that the wire diameter (piano wire) differs in every tenth of a second depending on the models and the specifications, so there are few spring manufacturers who have the material in a timely manner, but suspension specialist manufacturers do not.
ADVANTAGE has enough wire diameters to cover most of the requirements and can produce products with wire diameters according to the design, resulting in high-performance and long-life products.

Friction Disc Method "Segment Method" is the original method developed by F.C.C.
This is a production system that has brought about a dramatic evolution in the efficiency and quality improvement of clutch production, and realizes a significant improvement in the efficiency of the process by crimping the tape friction material to the core plate.
In addition, the high degree of freedom in the shape of the oil groove brought about by the characteristics of the manufacturing method enables flexible response to the various requirements of the product.
There are various performance requirements for clutches as a product, such as improvement of shock (ride comfort) when shifting gears by improving friction performance, and improvement of fuel efficiency by reducing drag (friction reduction) in the clutch off state.
Segmented discs can flexibly respond to these requirements by realizing highly flexible oil groove shapes.

●Steel Plate
The steel plate is very important and the clutch can slip if there is a small gap.
The inside of the engine is naturally exposed to high temperature, and the plate warps due to heat distortion, and the gap between the friction plate and the plate is formed by the warp, and the clutch slips, and the touch and connection when releasing the clutch become bad.
The plate wear is a problem, but warping due to heat distortion is a bigger problem.
The slight distortion of six or seven plates per bike, while the work is completed in a stroke of only a few millimeters, can be significant, and can easily reach several millimeters.
A few millimeters in the clutch case, especially in the clutch system, is an unbelievable number.
Therefore, by applying GSN (special gas nitriding treatment) to the steel plate, ADVANTAGE succeeded in making it highly durable and having extra strength against distortion.
